New favorite music...

Early May there was a new Mormon Message with a lady that inspires me to be a better Mother, to love life, and to enjoy every minute. She goes by Nienie, and if you don't know who she is then you should. She wrote the most beautiful blog about motherhood and life and was an inspiration to all Mothers out there. Then she was in a plane accident and she was in a coma for 3 months. She was in a Mormon Message last May. You can view it HERE. Then in June I saw THIS POST about the music used during the video. I put the album on my wish list that Nick & I keep. The album came out this month.

The other day I had the lap top in the kitchen with me while I was making dinner. Then I see that the computer was being controlled remotely from Nick while he's at work. Then THIS ALBUM starts to play. I was so touched by my husbands thoughtfulness. itunes has been on repeat listening to the beautiful voice of Mindy Gledhill. I love the clean, crisp feel of the music. It's beautiful. I hope you enjoy it too.

PS. By the way it took me like a month to finally post this from the time I started writing it. This is why I am no good at blogging! Ha! Seriously though, listen to the music - you will love it!! It just makes me happy, and I love things that make me happy...which really makes me want to start another post about my favorite things in the whole world, my daughters & hubby.

Camp Kim...Day 5

We "studied" butterflies today. We made them by coloring 1/2 sheet of tracing paper (a favorite item in my house right now), putting with a clothes pin and adding jewels and pipe cleaner antennas. Then we went to youtube and watched video after video of caterpillars turning into butterflies. Pretty awesome.

Camp Kim...day 2

I have started getting educational books for Lucy from the library more then the story books we generally get. I love it because I generally learn something new too. Today it was about Lady Bugs...I learned a lot. So today was all about Lady bugs. We read the book Are You A Ladybug? and then we painted Lady Bug rocks and had a coloring page with a ladybug that I just printed off line.

Overall it was a pretty awesome day! When I have all six kids sleeping at one time for about 2 hours I want to just pat myself on the back. There are times I feel like I am a conductor of a orchestra. I have a 2 month old, 2 year old, (3) 4 year olds and a 6 year old and I think I handle it pretty well and keep everyone happy nearly all the time. I have all the older kids do exercises, then dance class and then arts and crafts, lunch and then we have "quiet time" where everyone falls asleep after our busy morning. Then the afternoon is generally outdoor play time. It was a good day.

During nap time I actually got to read for a little bit - Wow! I haven't had much time to do that lately so it felt really really good! This is my read:
It's the second book of the Hunger Games Trilogy. I read it when it first came out last September but the third book comes out in August and so I wanted to re-read it again. Oh my gosh, I love it!!! It just keeps turning the pages...at least when I get to sit and read.

Camp Kim...day 1, who knows how many to go...I'm not counting yet.

We made Jelly Fish today. I wanted to do something related to it being the first day of summer but when I saw this idea I ran with it because I thought it was to cute.

What you need: Clear contact paper, streamers, paint, string. Have the kids paint one square of contact paper on the sticky side. Then add the streamers and put another sheet of contact paper on top. Punch holes and add ribbon or string. Jelly Fish. Fun facts about jelly fish: They have no brain, the box jelly fish have 24 eyes and jelly fish never stop growing.

Craft Day...

I felt like I was productive in the craft area until about 9 weeks and 1 day ago. Then it came to a screeching halt because (hello!) I have something way more important to tend to. I saw this post on Crap I've Made and thought - "I can do that." So yesterday I did. My creative, fun, crafty side came out to say hello. My friend Danielle helped me. We made these t-shirts.

I will be busy babysitting all summer (I will resurface in the fall) and I made all the kids matching t-shirts. Cute huh? I figure it's something to get me and them excited about the summer at "Camp Kim's"

This is the girly one, I did hearts for the eyes, it was Danielle's idea - she is SO creative and crafty - a hero of mine.

Full Heart.

Yesterday morning was GORGEOUS outside, just beautiful! I woke up early and went for a walk/jog/run…didn’t get very far because I ran up to the end of Center street and then on the path that goes behind the houses and along the marsh area. There were all of the

yummy smelling flowers, singing birds and blue skies.

I couldn’t keep it to myself – I had to share this beauty!!

I went home and woke up Lucy, put some clothes on her and spent about 30-40 min pointing out birds, listening to their songs and smelling the flowers…we even saw a bunny. Who needs tight thighs when you can have such a full heart?

photographer...

I had several people ask who our photographer was for the last post. I can't believe I didn't put that information with the post! His name is Lyle Lowder and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone with a new babe! He was SO patient! Seriously we got there and she was cold, then she was hungry, then she wet herself/me. It takes patience to get pictures like that of a newborn, but so worth it! He has a ton of adorable props for newborns too! SO cute!!! He's here in Pullman and his website is:

http://www.zoomphotographer.com/Portfolio
On his website you'll see lots of our family pictures he took for us last fall - Love it! Can't wait till fall when we can do it again with our family of FOUR...Eeek! I love it!!

Baby Sarah...at 2 weeks old.

I feel like I should be writing a WHOLE long post about our family...our life for the past 3 months. The idea of it overwhelms me though. I've written in our personal/family journal but that is too much information and very personal so I'm keeping this short and sweet. This is our daughter, Sarah. She's perfect, she's beautiful, just like her birth mom. Most of you know we've been trying to have a baby for four years. We were blessed with this angel. I could go on and on about what a divine and inspirational experience the whole thing has been for our family, but this is not the time to do. I'm only posting here as a way to share these pictures. Pictures of our beautiful daughter Sarah. Everyone who is on Facebook has probably already seen these, but I do have a few friends who are anti-facebook...and that's okay. I want you to see the pictures too.
