The Game of Life

I remember as a child that I loved the game of Life! It was just so much fun! So we pulled it out of the closet last night for Family Home Evening and set it all up (which takes forever!) and Nick & I played while Lucy put all of the little people in all the little cars and drove around on the board with us. I rolled mostly 8's and 9's so it went by really fast. I didn't even get to have any kids!! Anyhow, I don't think we'll be playing it very often. Maybe once Lucy is old enough to really play we'll pull it out again. Although Lucy wanted to pull it out again tonight so she could play with all the teeny tiny people...I have a feeling most of them will end up in the vacuum sooner then later! She also wanted to get the board out and when I pulled out she got so excited! Man, I love being a parent! It's so much fun watching your kids get so excited about the smallest things.

Viva Las Vegas Baby!

I have a friend who has a timeshare that we were able to use in Las Vegas, so we took advantage of Nick's slow semester and took a LONG road trip! It was so much fun! Lucy became a pro at getting undressed, putting on her swim diaper, her swimsuit and bringing Nick or I the sunscreen! It was a hoot! We spent a lot of time at the pool! We all had a great time just being together as a family ~ with no stress of jobs or school, it was just perfect.

Staying clear of any paparazzi!

Lucy insisted on going to playgroup like this on Friday! She was just making sure the paparazzi didn't recognize her. I think she did a pretty good job!

NO! Not the brown shoes!!!

I rarely ever buy Lucy shoes because we're lucky enough to get hand me downs from family & friends...BUT when I saw these shoes at the Gap I had to get them for her. She wears a lot of pink so I thought brown shoes would be cute on her. A little boy I watch had some and I thought she would appreciate that they were like Cai's shoes. Well when I went to put them on her she had a fit "No!!! Not the brown shoes!" she would say over and over. It took about a week before she was okay with wearing them.

When we got all of our Easter bunny decorations out Lucy knew it was her job to make sure all the bunny's were lined up. For the week or so before Easter she spent a lot of her time on this little stool arranging and rearranging her bunnies. She was quite upset on Monday when we put them all away for next year! If this post works maybe I'll get some up of the Easter Egg hunt?

In the closet...

Lucy hadn't been taking naps for a couple weeks and then one day she laid down in my closet and wanted to take a nap there! So, she did! She slept there for about 4 or 5 days in a row and now she's moved into our bed for nap time. Keep in mind it is ONLY for nap time. She sleeps in her own bed at night. Here are some cute pics. It was pretty cute, she always wanted her Princesses too.
